I am so sad to find out Sauce closed. I love this Italian spot with a great fun atmosphere! We came here twice over the past two months and loved every bite we ordered. The service was great and even when it was the Jake Paul v Mike Tyson fight, the restaurant told us we could stay to watch even though we were done and paid the bill. I will miss this place dearly!

So my friend and I went to Sauce last night. She's been there a few times but I never had. When we walked in, it was a vibe. They had a live DJ near the bar area with regular dining seating around the restaurant. The music was fire. We were singing along and dancing in our seats! The staff was so kind. I told our waiter it was my friend's birthday and he brought out a shot for us. The manager, Austin, was hands down the best restaurant manager I've met in a while. My friend had a few questions about the restaurant (since they had recently rebranded) and he sat down to chat with us and answer any questions we had. Austin was super open to feedback, which I loved, and he was extremely kind and intentional. You could tell he really cares about his customers' opinions. Aside from the amazing service, the food was surprisingly very good. (I was at first nervous if the food would be as tasty and good as the overall vibe & service since I feel like it can be difficult to find that balance.) We ended up ordering their Bolognese pasta. When it came out, it was hot and you could tell it was freshly made. I'm fairly picky with Italian food since I often make it from scratch myself and I don't normally care for a Bolognese, but it was extremely flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. We finished the whole plate! I was overall thoroughly impressed not only by how fun Sauce's atmosphere was, but also the fact that the service and food matched. Will definitely be visiting again!

This is probably one of the most classic nyc italian diner vibe type of restaurants. The music was good and not too loud so we could converse and the aesthetic was cute. staff was incredibly friendly i was almost 10 minutes earlier than my friends and they let me sit at the table we ordered a bunch of things to share and the food was actually pretty good! and portions were generous. the upside down pizza we got with cauliflower crust which was good - even the cauliflower crust shockingly the spicy sausage pasta also hit! with crushed red peppers was cooked well and had tons of flavor plus the bolognese- sauce does pastas super well last the Caesar salad - nothing special but definitely a good caesar. 10/10 recommend and would come back

Reservations for girls night dinner at 8pm on a Friday. Was seated right away. Drinks were delish. Ordered the Garlic Pecorino Bread--it was ehhh. Not a fan of it, but I've def had better. Entrees were all delicious. Fave was the sausage with rigatoni. Ambiance is ok. Chairs were a bit uncomfortable, it was also very hot inside. It was def a humid night, however they keep the side door open which was letting out all the cold air. Service was great.

Stopped here for a late reservation on a Friday night after the Yankee game. We had bounced around ideas for an Italian place to eat, and settled on this place as it carried all the main building blocks of dishes I seek out: cacio de Pepe, parm, burrata, carbonara. We were sat immediately and even with a reservation we didn't need one. We ordered burrata to start things off - which was very good. The crostini wasn't the most - only 4 pieces, but the cheese was great and the tomatoes and basil was on-point. For an entree I went with the cacio de pepe. The noodles were al dente and the sauce was really really good. I also decided to add a pepperoni pizza for us to try and share. Issue? It never came. It wasn't on the bill so that was good, but bc of ordering it I didn't ask for bread. We kept getting table-touched by a couple guys who I assumed were kitchen staff. Almost like a polite nudge despite having an hour before they officially closed. Odd. We skipped dessert and went down the street elsewhere. Food won the day - our waitress was very nice, but the other variables kept this from being a full 5 star.

New York has hundreds of Italian restaurants claiming to be the best, but this place can take all the bragging rights! Meatballs are tender and delicious and can be served in either traditional Mariana or vodka sauce. The double garlic bread was absolutely delicious, super cheesy and full of garlic! The Sunday gravy with home made rigatoni and meatballs tasted just like some ones grandma made them! But the chicken parm stole my heart with saucy spaghetti. To end it all the ricotta doughnuts were the most perfect sweet !
